Phatsima Jewellery Designs is a proud member of the South African Jewellery Council, ensuring that we adhere to high ethical and quality standards. The council acts as a regulatory body and mediator for consumer concerns, so you can shop with confidence.

We are committed to honesty and transparency. All product descriptions on our website and invoices are accurate. Diamonds 0.5ct and larger come with certification from recognized grading laboratories. Upon request, we can provide uncertified diamonds to accommodate budget needs. However, uncertified diamonds are graded based on supplier estimates, and we are not responsible for any discrepancies from suppliers or laboratories regarding color and clarity.

As specialists in custom-made jewellery, our pricing is based on supplier-provided diamond quality estimates. While we verify diamonds using a tester and weight measurements, precise grading is conducted by accredited laboratories.

Phatsima Jewellery Designs – Delivery Terms & Conditions

We strive to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery process for all our valued customers. Please read our delivery terms carefully before placing an order.

1. Processing & Dispatch

  • All orders are processed within 1-3 business days after payment confirmation.
  • Customized or engraved pieces may take 5-10 business days to process before shipping.
  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
  • For bulk retail supply and orders of more than 20 items please email orders@phatsimajd.com for special orders rates and discounts.

2. Shipping & Delivery Timeframes

  • Local Deliveries: Estimated delivery within 2-5 business days after dispatch.
  • International Deliveries: Estimated delivery within 5-12 business days, depending on the destination.
  • Delivery times may vary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, pandemic, customs delays, public holidays or courier disruptions.

3. Shipping Fees

  • Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on location and order size.
  • Free shipping may be available on orders above a certain value (check our latest promotions for details). All items purchased online from us above R7000 will automatically be free from delivery nationally and internationally.
  • Any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees for international orders are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Standard Shipping rate in South Africa: R150 ($8)
  • International Standard Shipping rate: R850 ($46)

4. Order Tracking

  • Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor your delivery status.
  • Please ensure your shipping details are accurate, as we are not responsible for lost orders due to incorrect addresses.

5. Delivery Issues

  • If your order is delayed or has not arrived within the estimated timeframe, please contact us at orders@phatsimajd.com for assistance.
  • If a package is marked as “delivered” but you have not received it, kindly check with your local courier or neighbors before reaching out to us.

6. Failed Deliveries & Returns

  • If a delivery attempt fails due to incorrect address details or unavailability, the package may be returned to us. In such cases, the customer will be responsible for reshipping costs.
  • Unclaimed packages returned to us after a failed delivery attempt may be subject to restocking fees.

7. Damaged or Missing Items

  • If your order arrives damaged or items are missing, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos of the package and items. We will work quickly to resolve the issue.

Phatsima Jewellery Designs – Return Policy

At Phatsima Jewellery Designs, we take pride in crafting high-quality jewelry pieces. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help!

Returns & Exchanges

  • You may return or exchange an item within 3 days of receiving your order.
  • Items must be unused, unworn, and in their original packaging with all tags and certificates (if applicable).
  • Customized or engraved items cannot be returned or exchanged, unless they arrive damaged or defective.
  • For customized items we will always do our best to rectify or remake the item to suit the client’s needs if the item was not made according to the project brief.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact Us – Email our customer service team atorders@phatsimajd.com with your order number and reason for the return.
  2. Approval & Instructions – Once approved, we will provide return shipping details.
  3. Shipping the Item – The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect.

Refunds

  • Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the product and packaging. We will arrange for a replacement of your item. Additional cost will only incur if the changes required to your item need additional gemstones or metal to be added. Only the cost of the additional materials required will be charged. For example, you received a ring with 10 diamonds, but you prefer a ring with 20 diamonds… The cost of the 10 additional diamonds that are needed will be added to your invoice.

Gift Returns

If you received a gift and would like to exchange it, we can offer store credit for the value of the item.

Intellectual Property Rights
Other than the content you own, under these Terms, Phatsima Jewellery Designs and/or its licensors own all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in this Website.
You are granted limited license only for purposes of viewing the material contained on this Website, placing orders and online shopping.

Online Shopping

Our online shopping payment system is hosted by PayFast which is a highly credible safe and secure online system with all security processes implemented to protect you. This ensures that you can have fun shopping with us safely. We will never use your information without your written consent.

Deliveries in South Africa, Gauteng region are free of charge.
We will notify you if products are discontinued or if the item is unavailable but in the process of being manufactured. Items that are ready and available can be delivered within a maximum time of 5 working days.
The manufacturing process for new orders take a maximum time of 3 weeks before dispatch.

For orders and quotations

• A minimum of 50% deposit is required to start the manufacturing process.
• The balance is then settled when the order is complete, before collection or delivery.

• Goods remain property of Phatsima until paid for in full. • •
• The dollar rate against the rand affects the price there for due to the constant change of the rate any jewellery orders not paid within 2 months will be charged on the current rate which may result in a higher cost than the price quoted.

• A 3% interest will be charged per month for any outstanding balance not paid within 3 months from the order placement.

Warranty

• All our jewellery comes with a 1 year warranty.
• Jewellery repairs within the first year of purchase will be repaired with no charge provided that all the required gemstones and metal are available. Clients are liable for any loss of Gemstones and metal.
• First time ring sizing will be offered to clients within the first year of purchase.
• Clients are liable for damaged jewellery due to negligence.

Restrictions

You are specifically restricted from all of the following:
• publishing any Website material in any other media;
• selling, sublicensing and/or otherwise commercializing any Website material;
• publicly performing and/or showing any Website material;
• using this Website in any way that is or may be damaging to this Website;
• using this Website in any way that impacts user access to this Website;
• using this Website contrary to applicable laws and regulations, or in any way may cause harm to the Website, or to any person or business entity;
• engaging in any data mining, data harvesting, data extracting or any other similar activity in relation to this Website;
• using this Website to engage in any advertising or marketing.
Certain areas of this Website are restricted from being access by you and Phatsima Jewellery Designs may further restrict access by you to any areas of this Website, at any time, in absolute discretion.
